T-shirt quilt

A layout with only shirts.  Quilted with a large meander pattern with clear thread.  This was done hand-guided to avoid stitching over the faces on the photos.

I was asked about the clear thread, is it the stiff, scatchy nylon kind?  No, it's a very fine, clear polyester, made by Superior Threads, called Monopoly.  Soft and pliable, but strong.  It's a great choice for t-shirt quilts, or any other quilt where there is a big variance in fabric colors- very dark and very light, it disappears and doesn't distract from the fabrics.

Quilted with a star/swag pattern.

Quilted with the cross-hatch pattern.

Sunbonnet Sue

Sunbonnet Sue- quilted with the Baptist Fans pattern.  Similar to old hand-quilting patterns.

Vintage baby quilt

A vintage quilt top, quilted with a simple cross-hatch pattern.  I like the simplicity of the design, it doesn't compete with the embroidery.

Quilted with the Navajo pattern.

Realtree panel quilt

Quilted with clear thread using the Square Spiral pattern, so it didn't compete with the truck panel on the quilt.

The quilting pattern used is Mahogany.

Farm baby quilt

Pattern used is "On the Farm".  Shows up well on the light yellow Minky backing.

This pattern is called Batik.  It matches the front fabrics well.

If you would like make rounded corners like these, make sure to cut the binding strips on the bias.

A calm/neutral layout, quilted with the Surf pattern.

Wavy line quilting

The customer requested wavy lines for the quilting pattern, similar to a picture she had.  I like how it turned out... Something a little different than usual, nice texture to the quilt.
