I've decided that at this time I will only been taking quilts that need all-over patterns, and not taking any custom quilts (separate designs in blocks & borders.)
I have two kids in high school this year, and life is as busy as I'd like it to be right now. I don't feel like I can commit the time needed to really do custom quilts justice right right now. I may be back at it at a later date, but for now I think this is the best fit for me.
I am going to focus on all-over patterns, and will keep adding new patterns regularly. If you'd like to use a design that I don't have, just ask, and I will find just the right fit for your quilt.
Thanks for all your business in the past, and I look forward to seeing what creative quilt tops arrive in the future!

Farm scene quilt
I used the Woven Wind pattern on this farm scene quilt. I thought the pattern looked a bit like the rows of crops in the fields.

Summer Schedule
The kids are out of school for the year, and things are busier at home.... so I won't be taking any custom quilts this summer. I am looking forward to enjoying some time outdoors for the few short months of summer we get here in Iowa. Thanks-

Custom quilting
I think the piecing pattern is called Tenneessee Waltz. I quilter this doing a custom design. Some parts are hand-guided, other parts are done with the Intelliquilter, like the block design.

Scrap quilt
The customer who brought this said she was using up scraps. Isn't it striking? Sometimes a simple piecing pattern is what is needed. Just half-square triangles. I quilted it using the pattern called Lupin.

T-shirt quilt
Here's another t-shirt quilt.... This one without any sashing between the shirts.
It was quilted with a musical note pattern, called All That Jazz. The flannel backing fabric also has musical notes on it.
Flannel is a great choice for any quilt- really makes it soft and warm. I suggest prewashing it, as most flannels will shrink a bit.

t-shirt quilt
A t-shirt quilt made using a random, modern layout. The shirts are cut in different sizes, to accomodate the grahics, and the solid parts of the shirts are used between them. This a completely different look from the tradional layout. Quilted with a meander pattern.
t-shirt quilt
A t-shirt quilt with the shirts set in vertical rows, and sashing strips between rows. This is a good layout for 26 shirts, 4 rows of 6 shirts each. Quilted using the Honeycomb pattern.
Traditional layout t-shirt quilt
A t-shirt quilt with a traditional layout. The red cornerstone blocks add a nice touch of color between shirts, along with the black sashing pieces. It's quilted using the "Bayside" pattern.
Minecraft quilt
I made this quilt for my junior-high age son. Super fast to put together- used 5.5" squares. I quilted it with a zig-zag pattern.
For those of you that don't have kids in school, Minecraft is a computer game that is popular right now that uses blocks to build things. The black blocks on the quilt look like a character in the game.
