Freehand quilt

This quilt called for some free-hand "wind" quilting.... It's a small wall quilt. The background was a almost solid black- kind of hard to photograph. The pictures look lighter than the actual black fabric was.
I even happened to have some black Quilter's Dream Midnight Poly batting on hand- it was perfect for this quilt with black fabrics on top & bottom.

Custom Christmas quilt

Little C & I thought that this quilt should live at our house at Christmas. :-)

All of the quilting is done freehand, except the diamonds.
