Scheduling changes

Since March of 2020, when everyone found quite a bit more stay-at-home time on their hands, my schedule has been busier than normal.  I am making some changes to the scheduling process....

My turn-around time has gotten farther out than in the past, so I've added a spot on my blog for you to easily see when my next opening is.  Just go to:  myquilter and look at the "Scheduling a quilt" section at the top right side..  For example, as of today, it shows I am taking quilts for the week of May 10.  (The week shown is the week I expect to work on your quilt.)

You can get your quilt(s) on the list by texting 712-314-6052 or emailing myquilter@yahoo.com.  Just let me know the approximate size of each quilt.  About 2 weeks before I can work on your quilt, I will send you a notification to let you know you can drop it off (or ship it if you are out of town.)

You can now schedule your own drop-off/pick-up time.  When you get a notification from me that your quilt is finished, just use this link to reserve your time to pick it up:  booking_app  It's quick & easy to set up a time.  30-minute time slots are available, please come within the time slot you have reserved.  If you need to cancel/change your appointment, please do that within the booking app.

Due to concerns over social distancing, if another customer is in the studio when you come, please wait in your car until they leave.  Masks are optional.

I am grateful for every one of you, and the quilts that you have trusted me with over the past 18 years.

Happy quilting~

Memory quilt

A customer requested a memory quilt to be made out of her husband's shirts after he passed away.  It is a queen size quilt, with flannel on the back.  The quilt top is made from 2.75" squares of over 40 shirts.
One of the shirts is from a vacation to Hawaii,  and it is a fun addition to the solids, stripes, and plaids.
The outer border and binding are also shirt fabric.  I used Hobbs Heirloom cotton blend batting inside.
